Lost bed

From time to time you see furniture on the street, and it’s being thrown away. It’s usually put out in the evening for collection the next day – there’s a schedule for collection of big items per neighbourhood. People will often collect these items and take them home, as a sort of informal recycling programme. I’ve collected one or two things this way.

But the notice above, photographed on Eerste Goudbloemdwarstraat, shows that someone was a little too quick in recycling a bed. The people hadn’t put it on the street to recycle, it was there temporarily while they got busy moving in to their new place.

I’ve blanked the numbers, but if it was you, and you want to confess, leave a comment and I’ll sort something out.
