In the centre of Amsterdam it’s difficult and/or expensive to park a car. Around here there’s a long waiting list for a parking permit, and if you pay it costs several euros per hour.
Then if you stay too long this is the result; wheel clamping. The little orange sticker on the window is so that you don’t just jump in the car and try to drive away. |
very good and funny – because I dont have a car! Do you know how much someone has to pay to put this yellow thing off?
I’m not sure (I don’t have a care either), I think it’s around 200 euro.
I waited for 9 months to get a street parking slot in Amsterdam Zuid for work but when it was offered to me I declined as I was already thinking of moving on to another job. But other people say 9 months was too short because many have waited for years?
I’ve never had this wheel clamping experience here but I am guessing you will have to pay around the neighborhood of €300++. I got towed in Luxembourg a few years back and paid almost double. It was stupid and an expensive lesson to learn.
